Management Assistant (MAST)

Summary:

Provides support to IPT or work center lead by collecting, analyzing and evaluating data and preparing briefings and reports for use by the appropriate office(s) within the Division, chain of command, and other acquisition, sustainment and operational agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities consist of but are not limited to the following:

- Other MAST functions include developing and staffing administrative correspondence and documentation, and drafting official memorandums of agreement, staff summary sheets, Items of Interest and Ready-to-Send emails for use by leadership or Division offices.

- The MAST position is also tasked with creating, managing and updating work center website design, as well as accessing and working in DoD databases to complete assigned tasks, some requiring the protection, handling and accountability of highly sensitive or secure data.

- The management assistant helps plan, organize and conducts management review, off-sites and program meetings, and documents meeting minutes and actions items. All written documents and correspondence must be accurate, thorough and compliant with requirements to ensure leadership is provided the most current information for their decision-making.

Qualifications:

Must have experience in an organization’s management and administrative functions to include word processing, protocol, spreadsheets, developing briefings, setting up meetings, coordinating multiple functions. Additionally, the management assistant must have an analytical ability, objective judgment, discretion working with sensitive personnel matters, and knowledge of a substantial portion of the administrative and program areas identified in the MAST position description above. Possess excellent communications skills to include extensive experience in writing and editing material for senior management.

Education and/or Experience:

· MAST Level 1.
Minimum two (2) years within last four (4) years working directly in management assistance functions and
an AS degree or vocational school diploma in operations, business, administration or related field is required; BS is preferred.

· MAST Level 2.
Minimum four (4) years within last six (6) years working directly in management assistance functions and
a BS degree operations, business, administration or related field is REQUIRED.

· MAST Level 3.
Minimum six (6) years within last eight (8) years working directly in management assistance functions and
a BS degree operations, business, administration or related field is REQUIRED.

Computer Skills:

Must have experience setting up and operating video-teleconferencing equipment and experience within two (2) years using Microsoft Office 2003 (or later) suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).

Must have a current SECRET clearance or an inactive SECRET clearance within the last 24 months. Wage is DOE and this announcement is open until filled. Work location is Robins AFB, GA. Position is subject to US Government requirements.
